"Music expresses better when words fail, and it might be one of the most beautiful creations of God". With these words Nassif Zeytoun describes his love to music which has attracted him since he was a kid, and motivated him to join the department of oriental music and theater at the Higher Institute for Music, Conservatoire. The year 2010 was a milestone in Nassif's career when he won Star Academy and got the highest voting percentage in the history of the competition. In 2011, he continued his stardom pursuit with steady steps when he participated in a concert about peace in the world under the supervision of the international music producer Quincy Jones, who had worked previously with King of Pop Michael Jackson. In 2013 he published his first album "Ya Samt", produced by "Watary", after signing a contract with "Music is my life". In his album introduction, Nassif said: "I am a young Arab, and I couldn't express myself except with melodies and lyrics, and here I am today with you, raising a hope to silence every voice that has called for harm and disperse... "Ya Samt", I have loaded you up with my voice, love, dream and ambitions... perhaps you bring joy to your listeners. And I have attached with you a rose of remembrance of the great Zaki Nassif , “Aachikata El Wardi” a bow of respect with new sensations. Hoping this album would carry to your hearts what's in mine... sincerely." It didn't take much time for people to love and memorize Nassif’s songs which made him win the Murex D'Or for the best rising Arabic singer. Today "Ya Samt" is the first Arabic album to exceed hundred million listeners on YouTube, and Nassif became the first Arabic singer to use the lyric technique to lunch his album. He always confirms that the secret of success is hard work, perseverance, and constant communication with the fans, and this is why his accounts on social media are considered one of the most interactive in the Arab world. In 2015, he released a single titled "Nami Aa Sadri" which stayed on top of the Arabic charts and was the most popular and downloaded song on Anghami application. In 2016, Nassif sequentially released his second album “Toul El Yom” exclusively on Anghami at a rate of one song per day, and that was the first time an Arabic artist releases his album using this technique, becoming the youngest and most popular Arabic singer on the application. In the preface of the album, Nassif addressed his fans saying: “As much as I love you, I sang; and as much as you supported me, I sang. I sang for love, joy, peace, to the homeland and hope. I sang for those who love me, and the ones who don’t; I sang to break my old silence wall which I already had loaded up with my voice, love, dreams, and ambitions. I sang to be with you, every minute and second, all the day “Toul El Yom”. After 3 years of hard work, planning, and patience, I dedicate my second album, as symbol of love and gratitude to you and all my loyal fans, and everyone who participated in my success. I dedicate it to my parents, and those who left and I wished they could have heard. I sang from my heart to peace.” The album, which was an impressive transformation in Nassif’s career, included traditional songs with a twist of the style of the lyrics, composition and arrangement. The album was the first of its kind in its digital release, and only few copies are being released exclusively for special occasions. The success of the album led Nassif to win “Album of the Year” from ITunes and Apple Music, the “Phenomenon of the Year” award and “Best Album 2016” in Arab Nation Music Awards, in addition to the “Best Young Arabic Singer” and “Best Album” during the Murex D’Or.
