Caravan Band was founded in 2010 , When Maged Matta the band's guitarist started to gather the group together to play gigs in small concerts and playing their concerts in some pubs and restaurants , then they found a unique sound and arrangements for themselves and agreed to start their covers project under the name of CARAVAN band , and some members changed a lot till they got to the formation they are on now . Caravan band is a cover party band that do their covers in their own unique way by rearranging the old famous songs with their own style & they got famous by doing a lot of fusions between different styles such as : funk , pop , rumba , flamenco , gipsy & oriental music and a lot more . Caravan band started to play a lot of concerts in a lot of theaters in Alexandria in places such as : Bibliotheca alexandrina , El Ebdaa cultural center , Teatro Alexandria , Jesuits cultural center and a lot of other places . Caravan band became a party band that performs in a lot of parties & weddings , they participated in a lot of concerts with Egyptian stars such as : Hany Shaker , Bahaa Sultan . Also went live on Tv on several tv channels , such as CBC , El Nahar , ON tv. And they were on tv on a regular basis as the program band with the famous TV announcer Sherif Madkour on his tv show . Also Caravan Band went viral in Alexandria as they started to play in a lot of hotels and had weekly concerts in hotels like : Tolip Hotel & The 4 Seasons hotels . Caravan band started to prepare for their first album and started to do their own songs .
