Salomon va inaugurer le Temple. Il va adresser à Dieu une liste de 7 pardons ou bénédictions pour que l'Éternel pardonne Israël depuis ce Saint lieu. 

Après avoir construit le Temple de Jérusalem, Salomon va à présent entreprendre la construction d'un autre ouvrage majeur : le palais royal.
