Achab convoite la vigne de son voisin Naboth. Devant son refus, le roi va céder à la perfidie et la cruauté de sa femme, la reine Jézabel. 

Le roi de Syrie va attaquer le peuple d’Israël à Samarie. Achab va alors montrer toute sa faiblesse et son manque de sagesse.
