Christians care about all suffering — especially eternal suffering. That’s the greatest danger every city faces. 

From eternity, God has been self-sufficiently happy in himself. And because he has no needs of his own, he is gloriously free to meet ours. 

Our hearts have a natural drive to seek glory. But unless we find that desire in God, we will never experience the satisfaction we so crave. 

Friends, God is not satisfied to be in the background of your life. The Lord your God is the Lord alone, so love him with everything you've got—your whole heart, your whole soul, and all your strength.
