En los siglos XVII y XVIII algunas damas destacaron por las brillantes reuniones que organizaban en sus casas. 

Rodrígo Díaz, el Cid Campeador, fue uno de los protagonistas indiscutibles del siglo XI peninsular. Este personaje histórico se convertiría en mito literario gracias al poema épico que recibió su nombre.
