Le 26 février 2016, un groupe de pêcheurs au large de l'île philippine de Mindanao a aperçu un bateau dérivant de manière suspecte en mer. Le yacht était visiblement malmené et manifestement à bout de souffle. Il avait émergé comme un bateau fantôme avec un mât cassé.
