Why You Have a Body

God’s electing love is absolutely free. It is the gracious overflow of his boundless happiness guided by his infinite wisdom. 

Trust God. Commit your way to him. Roll onto him your anxieties, frustrations, and plans — indeed, your very life. 

Did you know that you can honor God—and benefit yourself—by managing your body well? When you make healthy choices, you’re honoring God by taking care of the body he created. 

Resurrection. God says: He brings forth the living from the dead, and brings forth the dead from the living, and revives the earth after its death. Likewise you shall be raised. (30:19) Learn more in this week's update as we continue with the second chapter of the Holy Qur'an. 

Our bodies were bought with a tremendous price to become dwelling places of the Holy Spirit. God wants to live in and through us—in and through you. Today Derek looks at God’s purposes for our bodies and to see how He wants us to cooperate with Him in His plans. 

God’s plan is to rule from above through man’s spirit. That means the soul is in subjection and the body obeys what is passed down. As we get in line with this program, we will begin to see the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven, and rejoice in it.
